Nowadays, students are surrounded by information from several sources and reaching information becomes more important every day. In order to cope with the challenges of this intensity of information faced by students at school which they will also face in the World, they need to develop different and more useful methods than those previously used. The aim of this research is to reveal how the process of using watch movie clips as a strategy in improving students’ listening skill in teaching and learning activity, find out whether the use of watch movie clips as a strategy can improve B 1 level learners’ listening skill or not.
This study investigates stylistic and pragmatic features of the vocabulary layer of the English language which is used in literary text. In order to get a more or less clear idea of the word stock of any language, it must be presented as a system the elements of which are interconnected, interrelated and interdependent. The word stock of any literary language can be represented as a definite system in which different aspects of a word may be singled out as interdependent.

The majority of content words do not have a single meaning for each; rather they associate to a number of senses. When these senses are semantically incompatible in non-neutral contexts, they are then homonymous; otherwise, they are polysemous 35 where polysemous words have an underspecified meaning that encompasses their different senses. To reliably differentiate between these two lexical relations helps very much in the improvement of the retrieval process. In this orientation, this article highlights the concepts of homonymy and polysemy, as they constitute one of the central issues in semantics and the psychology of word meaning.

This conceptual paper reviews literature on the most common practices of language tests in ELT contexts around the world. The detailed discussion of various types of language tests is followed by its various aims and objectives which are linked to the qualities or characteristics of different language tests. The review of the literature reveals that language tests and its purposes vary from context to context and there is a wide range of practical constraints that test designers, test-takers, and test administrators encounter.
Instruction in vocabulary involves far more than looking up words in a dictionary and using the words in a sentence. Vocabulary is acquired incidentally through indirect exposure to words and intentionally through explicit instruction in specific words and word-learning strategies. This article presents several instructional vocabulary strategies and explains how to design and adapt those strategies in order to reach desired learning outcomes. Emphasis is placed on research-based principles that guide effective vocabulary instruction and on the importance of incorporating vocabulary instruction language learning lesson.

Reading skills are the cognitive processes that a reader uses in making sense of a text. For fluent readers, most of the reading skills are employed unconsciously and automatically. When confronted with a challenging text, fluent readers apply these skills consciously and strategically in order to comprehend.
The assessment focused mainly on the language learner’s achievements but neglected other curricular aims such as language and social awareness. The assessment of A 1 level learners should serve teaching by providing feedback on the young learner’s learning progress, so that the content and the difficulty of subsequent teaching units can be effectively adjusted to the learners’ needs. This current article focused on the implementation of project-based learning (PBL) in language learning classroom. The investigation aimed at the development of students’ performance in learned language. The study also found that PBL played the role in the enhancement of language learning skills improvement. Majority of participants mentioned that projectbased activity engaged them to develop collaboration and teamwork skills, flexibility and adaptability skills and increased the better level of responsibility in learning.
The aim of this study was to examine the effects of using inquiry-based learning in teaching language in English language learning classroom. Inquiry-based learning is the act of gaining knowledge and skills through asking for information. It is a discovery method of learning that involves language learners in making observations; posing questions; examining sources; gathering, analyzing, interpreting, and synthesizing data; proposing answers, explanations and predictions; communicating findings through discussion and reflection; applying findings to the real situation, and following up new questions that may arise in the process.
The article is devoted to the value and role of project assignment in the teaching of English language vocabulary to 6 th grade learners. Particular attention is paid to the fact that English is currently outside the curriculum, and in most cases is necessary for the further life of language learners. The main purpose of project assignment is to turn a foreign language from a passive object into an active action. The article points out that the project assignment in teaching vocabulary creates the conditions under which 6 th grade learner learn group interaction and acquire communication skills, which is important for the socialization of language learners, especially in adolescence.
